Eagle Creek Park has unique resources such as the Peace Learning Center, the Earth Discovery Center, sailing camps, pontoon and sunset canoe trips, and so much more. J.K. Lilly (Eli Lilly & Company) owned the land and gave it to Purdue University in the late 1950s. The university later sold the land to the City of Indianapolis. An earthen dam was built to control flooding and the result is how we know Eagle Creek today.
